Create Value Management course content at the University level and promote the teaching of Value Methodology courses
Promote public awareness of Value Management (publications, multimedia, technology transfer programs)
Encourage research and development in Value Management through scholarships and grants

Members of the Board of Trustees include international leaders of industry, government and academia who have been involved in and have experience in the application of value methodology within their organizations. This Board supports the objectives of the Foundation by:
Serving as reference to those funding Foundation projects
Furnishing advice on achieving goals and objectives
Proposing projects
Responding to queries concerning their experience with value methodology

Donald E. Parker, PE, CCE, CVS-Life, FSAVE
In 1977 Don started the Miles Value Foundation as a tax exempt sister organization to SAVE in order to donate his text book, VE Theory, and the first college curriculum for Catholic University and Georgia Tech. He served on the Foundation Board for 41 years, first as Chairman for 9 years and then President for 11 years. He was the first VE Manager for the Chesapeake Division of NAVFAC, the Deputy Director of VE for NAVAIR, and then established and directed the first Federal Government VE program at the General Services Administration (GSA). While with GSA he authored SAVE’s first certification program to enable his agency to hire CVS’s.
Robert A. Burton
A thirty-year veteran of procurement law and policy development, he served in the Executive Office of the President as Deputy Administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP), the nation's top career federal procurement official. He also served as Acting Administrator for two years during his seven-year tenure at OFPP.

Dr. Manabu Sawaguchi, Dr-ENG, CVS-Life
Sawaguchi-san has been an advisor to the Society of Japanese Value Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience in practical technology management, teaching, application and development of Value Engineering (VE), Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and TRIZ in Japan and the Philippines. He has held the following leading roles in Japan: Vice Chairman, Japan TRIZ Association, a member of the Japan Industrial Management Association, the Operations Research Society of Japan, Japan Association for Management Systems and Japan's MOT Society
