Secretary/Officer Position

The Miles Value Foundation, a 501.c.3 charitable non-profit organization, has an immediate opening for Secretary/Officer to assist the Foundation with a variety of important functions such as:

  • Capturing and distributing meeting minutes

  • Maintaining a current roster of board members, trustees, and members

  • Maintain a motion log, action list, and MVF history spreadsheet

  • Other duties as indicated in the Functions and Responsibilities

  • Primarily interfaces with the Chairman and President

  • Interface with the other members of the Board as needed

The Secretary/Officer serves at the pleasure of the Chairman. The secretary may be a board member. As a non-board member, it is the only position in the By-laws that permits for payment of services.

The candidate chosen for this position should have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of the Value Methodology and the professional and Foundation organizations

      • A member or former member of SAVE or the Foundation, but not required

  • Ability to effectively use software to support the position (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Suites a plus)

  • Good organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to participate and capture minutes and other information virtually

  • Support all board meetings and executive board meetings

The Foundation anticipates filling this position in the next couple of months in preparation for the SAVE Summit Board meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

A transition will take place from the former Secretary/Officer to coach the selected candidate.
