Muthiah Kasi
Muthaiah is a registered professional engineer. He joined Alfred Benesch & Company in 1969. His experience there includes design and management of high rise and low rise buildings, long span river structures and urban and rural highways.
He has directed Benesch's Value Engineering program for the past 29 years, concurrently developing the Total Quality Engineering (TQE) process and is responsible for Benesch being the first civil engineering firm recognized by SAVE International for its long term commitment to VE.
Mr. Kasi developed and authored/co-authored several VE texts and VE course for the University of Wisonsin and the University of Illinois. He has been actively involved with the ASTM Subcommittee of Building Economics and is the author of ASTM's E-2013 Standard Practice for Construction FAST Diagrams and Performing Function Analysis during Value Analysis Study. He was also instrumental in ASTM's E-1699 Standard Practice for Performing Value Analysis (VA) of Buildings and Building Systems.
For several years Muthiah served as SAVE International's Director of Standards.
